“Peak classical music body Symphony Services Australia has called for JobKeeper to extend beyond March for arts companies impacted by COVID-19 restrictions.

And the former WA Symphony Orchestra chief executive [Mark Coughlan] who successfully applied for JobKeeper wants the scheme to cover freelancers as well.

Kate Lidbetter, CEO of Symphony Services Australia, said the impact of COVID-19 closures of arts venues had been severe, and those that had reopened only operated on limited capacity.” (The West Australian 2021)

Personal Note

Personal Note: we donated to the NSW Fires Services and to Dimmocks Wildlife Retreat directly by a deposit into their bank account. Donations using special donation platforms seemed to be to costly. This way we where able to send more funds to the people and organisations in need.

“100% of your donation goes to projects…and then we double it!”

We do not want to repeat and post what everyone knows, reads in the newspaper or has seen in the news. The continuing apocalyptic destruction of Australia by bushfires is the saddest reality of late 2019 and early 2020. There are not enough words to describe and lament this tragedy.

Instead, we want to try to do something ourselves and help Australia, its people and its nature as much as we can.

Therefore we have donated and would like to ask all visitors to our site to consider making a donation to an Australian organisation, a wildlife resort, the fire brigade, the Australian Red Cross or any organisation of your choice!

Please find links below!  Thanks and God bless all!
