History & Biography

SuonaVoce was first founded as an idea to promote and perform young artists. Afterwards the brand registration took place in late 2014. In Germany, however, there is a considerable number of companies, agencies and organisations competing for similar activities. That is why becoming an artist agency seemed not to be what we were looking for.

Since we have family in Australia and talk to them and many friends in the music business, we learned that many people from both sides would like to tour the partner country and play concerts if there weren’t so many “but’s”! The idea to connect people and strengthen the cultural relations between Australia and Germany was born.

In order to improve the chances of success, business management skills were required. So, I started as student at the Professional School of Business and Technology in Kempten in English. An almost three-month stay as a student at Kempten’s partner university in Australia – the Graduate School of Business at Queensland University of Technology – followed. Courses and assignments, discussions with business people, music managers and artistic directors, attending concerts and many exciting personal encounters with people took place. In October 2018 I had the honour of receiving a Certificate of Friendship of the City of Brisbane from Brisbane’s mayor.

Here, at the QUT in Brisbane in 2018, the concept of SuonaVoce was rated as my research topic with the two highest grades. Thus, the founding idea of the Bureau for Cultural Exchange came into life.

Back home, while continuing my full-time work at Bayerischer Rundfunk, I began to completely rebuild SuonaVoce. There still is a lot of work to do, but the vision of being the missing part in the middle and connecting the rope ends for people, business, culture and music for a better coexistence in our troubled world, keeps us going.

My recent membership in one of the most important bodies for German-Australian cooperation, the German Australian Business Council e.V., gave SuonaVoce the necessary “wind under its wings”. As a member of GABC I had the great honour and pleasure to meet Senator The Hon. Mathias Cormann, Australian Minister of Finance at the Ambassadors Dinner 2019 in Frankfurt. I was also accepted as a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Now that the development is getting faster, our organization has been given a new form as SuonaVoce International – Cultural Exchange Bureau & Artistic Consultancy.

We are now looking for partners and supporters to even set up an Australian office and look forward to receiving interest and offers!

Ralf holds a Bachelor’s degree in Instrumental Music and Teaching from the Munich University of Music, and for the past 35 years he has been employed at the Bavarian Broadcasting Company in the Munich Radio Orchestra. Over the past three decades in particular and having been afforded the opportunity through family in Australia, he has developed a deep interest in Australia, its people and culture.

In his professional career at Bayerischer Rundfunk (Munich Radio Orchestra) he was given additional functions such as works council representative, delegate of the German Orchestra Association (DOV), contract negotiator for the orchestras and finally orchestra spokesman and member of the board.

Working in management, organizing concert tours, engaging soloists and conductors and developing programs, brought him to the core idea of bringing people and cultures together.

More recently, he completed several modules of a Master of Business Administration as part of the International Management Program offered by the Professional School of Business and Technology in Kempten, Germany, as well as a number of associated courses at the Queensland University of Technology Graduate Business School in Brisbane.

He also lived in Brisbane for a period during this time, where his interests of utilising music and culture to bring Germany and Australia closer together were the primary topic of his research.

We believe in Change!

We believe that business and industry, as well as politics, are made by humans for humans and should always remain human.

We believe that this goal can only be achieved with human interaction that brings joy and fulfilment, peace and understanding.

Our Mission

To bring together people in business, politics and society between Australia, Germany and New Zealand through culture and music. Appreciation for ethnic and cultural treasures of these countries should be the basis for new encounters.

In order to achieve our goals, it is our task to actively approach all our employees with a lot of persuasiveness and motivation and take them with us on the mission.

Our Vision

We believe that culture and music is the only international collective language that can achieve this goal for all communities of humans. Without community, there is no good future for industry and business either. We believe in the necessity to pass this idea on as a role model through education and culture in dealing with each other and as an inheritance for our children, for generations to come. The rapprochement of these three developed countries – Australia, New Zealand and Germany and Europe – should serve as a blueprint to have a positive impact on all parts of our world.
